Charles Schwab Storefront Replacement
Cardinal designed a façade refresh for the Charles Schwab branch in downtown Seattle. The client wanted to update the 1959 Logan Building with their corporate brand’s material palette of stainless steel and modern storefront glazing. Two levels of original storefront windows and granite sills were replaced with a structural silicone glazing system and stainless-steel sills, and the old aluminum entry was replaced with a sleek, stainless-steel entry portal. Inserting modern materials into historic buildings presents unique design and construction challenges, and our team developed a fresh project to revitalize Schwab’s downtown office.
